Launch and commercial teams

Plan launch decisions around evidence and uncertainty.

Investigate when regulatory and access milestones could occur, how alternative uptake assumptions affect a launch scenario and where published NHS activity is concentrated. Established findings stay separate from scenario estimates.

Examine regulatory timing

Regulatory Predictor uses product characteristics and recorded regulatory precedent to estimate EMA or MHRA timing windows. It supports planning around regulatory timing; it does not estimate whether approval will be granted.

Keep access milestones distinct

Reimbursement Predictor uses a reference medicine and scenario assumptions to estimate submission, authorisation, HTA and first-NHS-use milestones. Licensing, agency recommendation, commissioning and recorded NHS use remain distinct, and the estimates do not predict the HTA verdict.

Compare uptake and budget scenarios

Launch Simulator combines reimbursement timing with recorded uptake patterns to build conservative, central and optimistic uptake and budget scenarios. Evidence-supported years stay distinguishable from projected assumptions. These are scenario estimates, not established findings or estimates of supplier sales.

Investigate the recorded NHS position

NHS Analytics shows where published community prescribing and hospital medicines activity is recorded, and how much activity and cost is reported, from national to local organisations. Items, cost and reimbursement reference prices from the Drug Tariff support account planning and generic-entry assessment.

Use the sources, reporting periods, reference medicine and stated assumptions to challenge the planning case before you share it. The Governance page explains how estimates are kept apart from established findings.

Questions your team can investigate

  • Compare regulatory timing and launch scenarios

"How could timing and uptake assumptions change the plan?"

  • Examine published NHS activity and cost

"Where is it used, how much, and when did that change?"
